Thank you to the dozens of people who saved and restored me.
The attack and rescue caught on a security camera. The shark breaches at 0:54 just right of the light pole. The ambulance arrives at 4:05, just 3 minutes after I started yelling for help.

In October 2022 we held a thank you picnic at Lovers Point to celebrate the heroes who risked their lives to rescue me, Aimee Johns, Paul Bandy and Heath Braddock and the hundreds of others who helped in my recovery.

At the 1 year mark the heroes, Aimee, Paul and Heath, received the Carnegie Hero Awards at Lovers Point.
